Melanie Jarocki
Hello! My name is Melanie and I live outside of Seattle, WA, near the
mountains. I am a SAHM of 5 awesome kids--ages 2, 5, 7, 9, and 11--two
girls and three boys. When my oldest daughter was born 11 years ago, I
started scrapbooking. It has been a great hobby for me because I get to
create fun projects and record our family memories at the same time. My
kids love looking through their albums which makes it all the more worth
it to me. I love seeing how my style has stayed the same, yet changed
as well, over the years. My style is pretty simple and linear. I love
adding embellishment clusters, circles, and stitching. New product
always inspires me to create. My scrapbooking is usually done in
snippets of time throughout the week. In addition to layouts, I love
making cards, banners, and mini-albums.
Our familiy enjoys playing games together, dancing in the family room, and exploring the area where we live. When I have a few extra minutes, I love playing the piano, reading to my kids, or baking yummy treats for family and friends. I'm not much of a cook though. Thankfully, my wonderful husband likes to work in the kitchen. We are treated to his gourmet meals every weekend (and I hope for lots of leftovers to use during the week!). We look forward to visits with grandparents and cousins who live not-too-far-away, and our annual trip to Nana's when we get to go to Disneyland.

My fave scrapping manufacturer is: Oh no! This is too hard to answer! Let's see . . . I love October Afternoon and Bella Blvd. papers, My Little Shoebox and Cosmo Cricket mini alphas, American Craft Thickers, Elle's Studio journaling spots, Basic Grey embellishments, Prima flowers & gems, and everything Jillibean Soup. Gosh, there are so many more though . . . it's like asking me what my favorite Ben & Jerry's ice cream is--I cannot pick just one! :)
One thing you'd never guess about me is: I was a two-time arm-wrestling champion in college.
I'd love an all-expense paid trip to: Tahiti with my DH for our 20th anniversary in 2015

I create because: I'm a sentimental person. I love to hold on to memories, stories, and moments that capture my heart--and share those things with my family.
